Darkened Heart is a song that has been inspired by real-life events and is an autobiographical reflection by poet, artist, and friend of the band, Melina Amalia.
After going through a very dark, violent relationship that traumatised her mentally and physically, Melina poured these emotions and thoughts into poetry, forming this piece of work 'Μαυρισμένη Καρδιά' AKA 'Darkened Heart'.
After reading exerts from this poem, music began to form and the song grew and developed into what you hear today.
The topics of Domestic violence and abuse within relationships is a matter that we take very seriously, having seen glimpses in our own lives and we believe that more artists should bring awareness to this through their art.
We stand with Melina and all those who have had the strength to survive through this kind of turmoil.
